THEGREATBOOKROBBERY.ORG

This site is about a lot of stolen books and manuscripts (and as we all know stealing is bad). This is what happened to the Palestinians during the first Arab – Israeli war in 1948. Librarians of Israel’s National Library together with the army "collected" 30,000 books from Palestinian private libraries and institutions in Jerusalem. Another 40,000 to 50,000 Palestinian books were "collected" from other cities and towns in the country. Many of these books ended up on the shelves of the National Library. They are still there, collecting dust and marked 'AP' - abandoned property. So starting a project to get all the books back to the rightful owners sounds like a noble plan. Benny Brunner needed a designer and we were glad we could help. We designed a logo and a website to tell this crazy story and help him raise the funds to make the documentary.
