In our third year at the Willem de Kooning Art Academy we were asked to design a book for a departing teacher. The book contains a number of stories (in word and image) of fellow teachers based on his favorite topic: 'culture clash', We adopted this theme as the leading concept for the book: culture-clash in patterns, in lay-out and type. A fun assignment as it was our first book, we even used an almost extinct matrix printer to individually label te books, Yeah!
